First create a new movie 550 by 200 with a black background.
Draw a circle, then add lines, then color each section a different color. Curve the inside lines using the arrow key. Then using the selection tool select each section of the circle and give it a different color. This is what I came out with:
Select the entire ball by using the selection key and dragging an imaginary box around the ball or hold down the Ctrl key and click the letter A. Group it by selecting Modify>Group:
Put a keyframe in frame 20 (Right click on frame 20 and choose Insert KeyFrame)
In frame 20 move the circle to the right any place you want.
Click on Frame 1 and on the Properties panel select motion from the tween option list. You should now see an arrow pointing right:
Under rotate put CW or CWW and put down as many times as you want:
