Follow along with the shapetween.fla as you go through the tutorial
Open a new movie. Click on the size button on the properties panel to open the Size dialog box:
Change the size to 200 px X 200 px, change the background color to black, and give your document a name as shown below:
Create a shape of any kind in Frame one of Layer 1. Give it a color other than black with no stroke. The fill and stroke options are located on the properties panel once you have selected the shape you want to use:
Now you want to make sure that the shape is aligned to the center of the stage. To select the shape select On the Align option box make sure To stage is selected and the Align center vertically and Align center horizontally is selected as shown below:
Highlight frame 25 which is completely empty.
Right click on Frame 25 and select INSERT BLANK KEYFRAME.
Draw a different shape in frame 25. Align it to the center of the stage. Keep the fill color the same with no stroke.
Click on Frame 60.
Right click on Frame 60 and select INSERT BLANK KEYFRAME.
Click on Frame 1.
CLick the Menu item EDIT and select COPY.
Click back on frame 60.
Click on the menu item EDIT and select PASTE IN PLACE which will make frame
60 exactly like frame 1.
Click on Frame 1 again. On the properties panel select shape for the tweening option:
Click on Frame 25. On the properties panel select shape for the tweening option.
HInts: Shape tweening does not work on grouped objects or symbols. To make these
objects work, select the menu MODIFY and then BREAK APART until there are no
parts and pieces.
