Open Flash and click on the size button on the Properties panel to open the Document Properties dialog box. Give the document a title and set the width to 300 px and height to 300 px with a background color of your choice.
Click on the text tool Oval Tool on the Tools panel. Click no fill and select a stroke color of your choice. While holding down the Shift key draw out a circle on the stage. Holding the shift key down allows you to draw out a perfectly round circle.
Select the oval on the stage with the selection tool .
Center the oval on the stage by clicking the horizontal and vertical alignment on the Align panel. Make sure the to stage button is selected:
You can give your stroke a gradient look, making it appear to be 3D by going to the Color panel and selecting Radical from the type dropdown menu and then setting the stroke to the color you chose, then gray then blue at the very far right side of the color selector as shown below. To add another color swatch, simply click on the panel, then double click on the swatch to open the color dialog box. This will make your line look like its fading from blue to gray back to blue.
Now we are going to take the circle and put it inside a movie clip symbol. With the circle still selected hit F8 to convert it to a symbol. Name it circle_mc and select movie clip for the type.
To go inside the movie clip symbol simply double click on the symbol.
We now need to convert it to a symbol inside the movie clip. Click F8 again click movie clip as the type and give it a name, different from the name used before (ex: oval).
Click in frame 12 and click F6 to add a keyframe.
While still in frame 12 click Modify > Transform > Flip Horizontal.
Right click between frame 1 and 12 and select Create Motion Tween:
Click Ctrl + Enter to test your movie.
Click back on scene 1 to exit the movie clip.
Now we want to copy the movie clip in scene 1 and paste it in place. This will place a copy of the rotating clip directly on top of the clip. Edit > Copy (Ctrl + C) and Edit > Paste in Place (Ctrl + Shift + V). The clip on top is active and we need to rotate it to the right 45 degrees.
Select the Free Transform tool and while holding down the Shift key turn it to the right.
Repeat this four more time.
Press Ctrl + Enter to text your movie. Cool huh!!!!
