Open a new flash document 550 X 100. Change the background to a color of your choice. Click on the PolyStar Tool:
and then click on the Options button
on the Properties panel:
to open the PolyStar Tool Settings and create a star with the following settings. Make sure you first pick a fill color before dragging out the star on the canvas.
Position your star on the far left of the stage.
Next you will need to convert the star to a symbol. Click on the star to select it, click Modify > Convert to Symbol:
Name it Star and make it a movie clip.
Your star should look similar to the one shown below:
Click in frame 15 and hit F6 to insert a keyframe. Now place your star on the far right side of your stage.
Click anywhere between frames 1 and 15 on the timeline and on the Properties panel select motion from the tween option:
At the Rotate options on the Properties panel select CW for clockwise and put in a number of time you want it to spin.
Now insert a new layer above the star layer and name it actions. To rename a layer just double click on the text Layer 2 and type in the text you want to name the layer, in this case we will type in actions.
Click on Frame 15 of the actions layer and click F6 to insert a keyframe. Open your actions panel by clicking Window > Actions (or click F9) and then select Global Functions, Timeline Control, then double click the stop to insert the stop action into the script window. The shortcut to enter the script is Esc + ST.
The Stop Action Script should now appear in the window as shown below:

Click Ctr + Enter to test your movie. Your star should start on the left side of the stage stop at the right side of the page.
