Narrate Picture and Customize Motion

Now you will add narration to one or all slides in your story and customize motion by adding transitions, pans and zooms, set the amount of time for each image, and preview your movie.

To record sound, insert your microphone into the appropriate ports in your computer. Configure the microphone and sound level by running the Sound Hardware Test Wizard.

To record your voice-over:

Next click the Customize Motion Button to add transitions, pans and zooms, set the amount of time for each image, and preview your movie. With the Motion and Duration Tab selected,

Click the Specify start and end position of motion. The images in the Start position and the End position will have handles appear. Use the handles to position the images for the desired effect. Use the handles to position the images for the desired effect. In the example below, when this image appears in the movie, it begins as a large image and zooms inward upon completion of the image in the movie. First select the picture you want to use the pan zoom effect. I used the picture of Jonathan. I started out with the whole picture and then I wanted to zoom in on his face. As you see I boxed in his face in the seconde preview window below:

Additional options:

Preview the effect and continue until you get the effect you want. Save the effect then click the arrows to move to the next image.

Adding Transitions:

Click on the Transitions Tab to access the transitions options menu. Cross dissolve is the default function, however you have many more transitions options to choose from.

Transition Options

Click Save to save your transition selection. Select Close to close the Narrate and Motion dialog box. Click next to continue on the add background music to your story.
