Use the Drawing Toolbar to Create a Road

  • Draw out large rectangle for road
    • Fill color – black
  • Draw out small rectangle for line on road
    • Fill color – white or yellow
    • Use the Ctrl key to create more lines
  • Group the road parts together

Use the Drawing Toolbar to Create a Sky Background

  • Draw out a large square for the sky background
    • Fill with gradient fill – preset Daybreak – shading style – horizontal
    • Order – send to back

Use the Drawing Toolbar to Create a House

  • Draw out large square for base of house
    • Fill with texture fill
  • Draw out small squares for windows – line width 1.25
    • Fill color yellow           
  • Draw two lines to create panes - line width 1.25
  • Group square and lines
  • Place the windows on the house – size them fit the house
  • Using the Ctrl key drag out another window
  • Group the two windows and the base of the house
  • Order – Send to front

  • Draw out a rectangle
    • Fill with texture fill
  • Draw out small circle for door knob
    • Fill with two color gradient fill (black and white) with shading style – horizontal
  • Group rectangle and circle together
  • Place the door on the house – size it to fit the house
  • Group the door with the house

  • Draw out a triangle
    • Fill with pattern fill (black and white)
  • Place the roof on the house – size it to fit the house

Use the Drawing Toolbar to Create a Stop Sign

  • Draw out a six sided polygon
    • Fill with color red
  • Drag out a text box and type the word “Stop”
    • Make the font Times New Roman – size 14 – Bold – Center Aligned
    • Format text box – No fill and no line
  • Draw out a long rectangle for the sign post
    • Fill with texture fill        
  • Group polygon, text box, and post
  • Move it to the end of the road

  • Drag out the sun AutoShape
    • Fill with orange
    • Move it to the top of the canvas

Use the Drawing Toolbar to Create Clouds

  • Drag our one of the star and banner AutoShapes to create a cloud
    • Fill with texture fill
    • Using the Ctrl – drag out another cloud

Using the Drawing Toolbar to Create a Text Box

  • Drag out a text box and type in “Created by Your Name”
