Create a vector/plain text using any of the drawing tools in Flash, say a text with 'Flash' typed and break it using Break Apart (Ctrl + B) to put each alphabet in different layers. At this point you can change the color of each letter before moving on to the next step.

While all letters are selected on the stage, right click on the letters and select distribute to layers.

Distribute to Layers

Rename the layers as shown in the picture below:

Rename Layers

Delete Layer 1 in the timeline by clicking on the layer and clicking the delete layer icon Delete Layer at the bottom of the timeline.

Select all you letters again and place them where you want them to start. I started mine off the stage on the right side.

Insert a guide layer by right-clicking the topmost layer and select Add Classic Motion Guide.

Motion Guide

Insert Keyframes on all the text layers in frame 50 by selecting all the layers then right clicking then choosing Insert Keyframe. In frame 50 place your letters where you want them to end, in my case I choose the end on the opposite side of the stage.

To create a guide for your letters click on the top layer (H Layer) then right click and select "Add Classic Motion Guide". Now create a guide for the letters to follow by first drawing it with the pencil tool. Click in frame 1 of the H Layer and select the letter H in the first frame of the H Layer and snapping its registration point to the drawn line. Then click in frame 50 of the H Layer and snap it to the guide line. This will only move the letter H on the stage. In the next section you will attach the other letters to a motion guide in the same way.

Next you will need to create motion guides for the rest of the letters. Click on the S Layer then right click and select "Add Classic Motion Guide." Click back on the H Layer's Motion Guide and select all the frames (1 to 50) by holding the left mouse and dragging over them. Right click on the selected frames and select Copy Frames. Click back on the S Layer's Motion Guide and delete all the frames but frame on. To do this select all the frames 2 through 50 and then right click and select Delete Frames. Click back on the first frame of the S Layer's Guide Layer then right click and select Paste Frames. This copies the pencil path to this layer. Click on the letter S and attach it to the letter to the line in both the 1st and Last frame. You will do this to the rest of the layers.
