Adding a Cool Outline to Text in Flash
Enter Text on the Canvas:
Create some text in Flash by clicking on the text tool and then clicking on the canvas. On the Properties palette select a font of your choice and select a large size.
Break the Text Apart:
Once you have the text typed you must break it apart. To break the text apart click on the text to select it and then while holding down the CTRL key click the letter B twice. Click back on the canvas to deselect the text. Click the Ink Bottle Tool (located with the paint can) and select a color that you want to use for your border color, the size, and the type of line you want to use for your border. These options are found on the properties panel. You can also create a Custom line by clicking on the Custom button on the properties panel and try out the variety of different options available there.
Save it as a FLA (File > Save As )then export the image and save it as a gig.
