Loading Your Webpages into the Frames

Your Dreamweaver document should now look like this:

Frameset

Click in the top frame and select File > Open in Frame:

Open in Frame

Select the webpage named top (or the name you designated for that page). If your graphic appears to big for the frame you have two choices.

  1. Resize the image. This is easy in Dreamweaver. First select the graphic on the page then click the edit in Fireworks button Edit in Fireworks located on the Properties panel. Your graphic will then open in Fireworks. To resize the image click Modify > Canvas > Image Size:
    Resize
Change the size at the dimensions box.
  2. Change the size of the frame. To resize a frame do not pull them down manually. You will set the dimensions on the properties panel. Click the down pointing arrow at the bottom right size of the Properties panel to expand it to show more options.
    Expand Properties Panel
Next click on the horizontal line (frame border) that appears just below the top frame. Change the row value until you get the result you want.

    Row Width

Click in the left frame and and following the steps above select the webpage named left (or the name you designated for that page). Repeat the resizing of the column by clicking on the vertical line that divides the left frame from the main frame. Change the column value until you get the look that you want.

Click in the main frame and and following the steps above select the webpage named main (or the name you designated for that page).
