Creating Hypertext Links Between Elements Within Your Document

Open the file yourcompanyname.html in your text editor. After adding your image and horizontal rule, the categories you created have moved further down on the page, not allowing viewers to see everything without scrolling down the page. You will now create hypertext links between elements within your document. First you will need to assign short names to any category that contains more than one word, for example, Specialty Oils could be assigned the name oils.

• Place your cursor after <p align=center > nad before <img src ="filename.gif">, type one of your one word category names, followed by a space then type &#183 which represents a single bullet. For example, stuffed &#183. Continue with two more of your one word categories placing a space before and after &#183. Press enter so this new entry is on its own line.
• Create a new line directly after <IMG SRC="filename.gif">, then type &#183, space, then one of the remaining one word categories. Continue with the last two categories. These three categories should be located on the line under the image source code. Press enter placing the end of paragraph tag on a line by itself.

Save your file and view it in your browser. Three categories should appear on the left of the image, and three should appear on the right with bullets separating them.
