Task

You will take a journey in the past to collect evidence and factual information in order to bring the Unnamed Storm of 1928's forgotten devastation to light. You will play three different roles that will enable you to attach accountability to your findings. The first role you will step into is that of a newspaper journalist. You will read several articles on-line that will provide you with the information needed to write a factual paper on the Unnamed Storm of 1928. You will first write the draft in Microsoft Word, and then in a later project, you will actually format this paper into a Newspaper article. The next role you will play is that of a storm tracker. You will take part in a storm tracker activity on-line that will acquaint you with the tools needed to actually plot the Storm of 1928's coordinates on a tracking map. The third role you will undertake is that of a statistical analysist. You will take information on the top ten deadliest hurricanes, input them into an Excel worksheet, and then generate charts and graphs to use in your newspaper publication.
