Digital Storytelling

Students will use the Web to responsibly collect images, sounds, etc.
1. Use search engines to find some basic concepts (products from their specified country)
2. Explain about copyright protection (see copyright chart).
3. Present websites that have images, music, etc, in the public domain and demonstrate how to download to desktop.
4. Practice downloading images onto the desktop

Students will mix free music loops using Audacity softwarwe.

Students will record their voice – pacing, inflection and tone using Audacity softwarwe.
1. Demonstrate use of microphone and computer recording software.
2. Read something very fast and very slow, and discuss differences.
3. Read something with no emotion and then with emotion, and discuss differences.
4. Have students read their script aloud, and record it.
5. Listen and evaluate the recording.
Students will complete a storyboard to plan out their movie (see storyboard template).
1. Using a handout with boxes, walk through a story frame by frame, with narration, image and picture in sync with each other
Students will use MovieMaker software
