Student Evaluation Rubric

Content: General concept of storm of 1928 was addressed health and social issues that the survivors faced with after the storm, community services that stepped in and the health issues they were faced with, devistation of the Glades area)
1 Only one or two aspects of the storm are addressed.
2 Most areas of the storm are addressed.
3 All areas of the storm are addressed.

Layout: Ten to fifteen slides total (includes a title and reference slide).
1 Presentation has less than 10 slides.
2 Presentation has at least 10 slides.
3 Presentation has 10-15 slides.

Graphics: One or more graphics per page appropriate to topic.
1 Less than 10 appropriate graphics
2 At least 10 appropriate graphics that are complimentary to presentation.
3 More than 10 appropriate graphics that are complimentary to presentation.

Special effects: Appropriate use of special effects that do not detract from
presentation.
1 Too many distracting special effects.
2 Good placement of special effects. Might be distracting to some people.
3 Excellet placement of special effects. Not distracting.

Organization: Logical order of content backed with relevant information.
1 Information not logically presented or backed up with relevant informaion.
2 Organization good, but missing some back up information.
3 Well organized in easy to follow order. Content backed with relevant information.

Mechanics: Correct spelling and grammar.
1 More than 4 errors in spelling and grammar.
2 Three or less spelling or grammatical errors.
3 No mispellings or grammatical errors.

Slide Transition: Transitions are apparent on all slides.
1 No transitions on slides.
2 Some slides have transition, not all slides.
3 All slides have transitions.

Grading Information: Student will use rubric as a guide and to self evaluate. The rubric will then be used to evaluate peers Power Point Projects and to provide feedback.

12-13 C Fair

0-11 Not exceptable. Redo
